    Hi Val,

I bought your ebook yesterday and it really helped me thinking about our travel plans to Ethiopia next october/november, thanks! Of course I read that you wrote that if there’s trouble in one area you can be perfectly fine in another town.

But still, I’m not sure whether it’s safe right now (or next october) to go to the Danakil depression. The government tells us: don’t travel there at all. But they say other areas in Ethiopia are fine. Do you know anything more about the current situation over there, why would our government say it’s not safe? I’m not sure if they’re being overprotective or that it’s really not that safe at the moment.

    Thanks for your help!
